Understanding how a Shrink Bundler Machine works

Shrink bundlers are machines that offer compact packagingfor many products or items. The products are pushed through a sleeve of durable packaging film. The bundle is then sent through a tunnel called a heat shrink tunnel. The heat in the tunnel shrinks the packaging to fit tightly around the products.

Features

Shrink bundler machines have a sealing bar. The bar closes when the packages pass through the tunnel. When the bar closes the package is closed tightly and the film wrapping the package is cut precisely. The machine has a conveyor belt that carries the package to a sealer and finally into a tunnel to shrink the wrapper. Shrink bundlers are designed for use on wrapping sheets made of Polypropylene and polyethylene. Two rolls of shrink wrappers are used and the ends of the two rolls are sealed at first by a sealer. The product is then pushed to fit the roll. It becomes a compact package when it goes through a tunnel where the sealing bar shrinks the package and cuts the film.

Shrink bundling machines differ from I bar sealers. I bar sealers use a heated wire to cut the wrapping film and seal the package. The Shrink bundler uses a hot knife that is designed to cut thicker film than an I bar.

Shrink bundlers differ from L bar sealers. Shrink bundlers use only one sealing side while L bar sealers have two sealing sides. L bar sealers cannot be used with a sheet of flat film. Shrink bundlers can make the package compact and secure unlike, an L bar sealer.

Shrink bundlers are built for greater efficiency compared to other shrink wrapper machines. The strength and hotter than other sealing machines. They are capable of working with heavy-duty wrappers and heavy products.

Versions

A wide range of semi-automatic and automatic shrink bundler versions are available in the market. These machines do not have standard features and vary according to customer requirements. All automatic shrink bundlers come with photo eyes. These eyes view the products moving along the conveyor belt. They give signals to stop the conveyor belt and close the sealing bar when the package has passed.

Cost

The cost of the shrink bundler will depend on the needs of each customer. The cost depends on the production levels the machine needs to handle and its features. The sealers of semi-automatic bundles cost about $20 and bundling tunnels between $10 and $20. Large factories use very expensive high-speed conveyor belts and long shrink tunnels. These heavy-duty shrink bundlers cost over a thousand dollars.

Uses

Common uses of shrink bundler packaging machines are for packaging multiple drinking water bottles. Factories that package products in bulk or products in heavy boxes also use shrink bundlers for wrapping products.

Manufacturing Time

Shrink bundlers are custom built according to the needs of the customer and the type of product. Shrink bundler machines with a single standard size are not available. Companies need to estimate the cost according to the size of the shrink bundler required for the product. They then make shrink bundler machines within six months.

Shrink bundler machines shrink wrappers to make a compact and secure package. While other types of sealing machines can efficiently wrap small packages, heavy-duty packages that contain numerous products require strong and durable packaging material with a strong seal delivered by a shrink bundler.
